Definition

A public room is the open live broadcast space on a webcam platform where multiple viewers can enter, watch, and usually chat. Access is typically free; paid interaction (tips, private shows) is optional and initiated from within or from the room.

Why It Matters

Public rooms are the primary discovery and free-viewing environment. Chat is visible to everyone present, so statements made there should be treated as public.
